NDWA attend talks with Defra on the Dangerous Dogs Act

Constructive talks, chaired by Hilary Benn MP, were held yesterday with Defra and all major animal welfare charities, Magistrates, Police Authorities both Metroplitan represenatives and several other forces, Housing Providers and the entire Defra team with responsibility for dog legislation.  The NDWA were also invited to attend the meeting and the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the proposed changes in legislation to the Dangerous Dogs Act and with our first hand experience of this subject we were very glad to attend.  More will follow on this.
